Brickfact plugin privacy policy

The Brickfact plugin provides public LEGO set data and monitored retailer offers. It does not access your Brickfact account, collection, payment information or full ChatGPT conversation.

Information processed

We process only tool inputs needed for your request: set numbers, search text, market, language, theme, price and piece filters, age recommendations, comparison selections and optional draft alert target prices. Requests are sent to Brickfact's existing API, hosted on Google Cloud in Europe. The plugin service is hosted by Hetzner in Germany. OpenAI processes your conversation under its own privacy policy.

Retention and recipients

Tool inputs and public results are held in a bounded in-memory cache for up to 60 seconds and are not written to application logs. Application health logs contain service events, not search text or conversation content. Network providers necessarily process connection metadata such as IP addresses to deliver and secure requests. To limit request rates per client, the plugin service keeps the requesting IP address (IPv6 shortened to its /64 and /48 networks) in memory for about one hour after its last request; it is not logged or shared. We do not sell plugin inputs or use them for advertising profiles.

Control and links

You can stop using or uninstall the plugin at any time. Do not put personal or sensitive information in search text. The optional shopping card loads public product images from image-cdn.brickfact.com. When supported by ChatGPT, it stores a shortlist of up to six set numbers in the card state; this is not synced to a Brickfact account. App handoffs return instructions and a link, and do not create alerts or watchlists. You finish those actions in the app under its separate policy. Links to Brickfact comparison pages open the website, whose separate privacy policy applies. Those pages contain disclosed affiliate links; a qualifying purchase may earn Brickfact a commission. Retailers apply their own policies after you follow a retailer link.
